YAY! Schools back. Was up at 5:30 AM this morning eating breakfast and getting ready for work, managed to knock out he reading for my History of American Illustration as well the the required homework assignments. This semester is going to be a pretty interesting experiment as I work to manage a full time job and going to school part time. Failure is not an option as for Fall the plan is going to be balancing a full time job with being a full time art student, so I consider this training for the time ahead.

Recently picked up the "Dynamite Art of Alex Ross". While I think Ross' painted work is awesome, its his pencil lines and sketches that I love. Its awesome to see Ross doing characters not associated with the big two of the industry. Traded in some textbooks to Amazon and now I have my eye on the hard cover reissues of Andrew Loomis's books.

Also, my Xbox no longer plays video games, its just a DVD player now. Coincidence or divine judgement that this would happen the day before school starts? Thats one less distraction during the semester.
